Sonys top DAB/FM Tuner and like all ES models is the pinnacle of performance. Probably the last of the great audiophile tuners that covers both the FM and DAB frequency bands.

After winning the 2001 Gramophone Award for best tuner and the 2000 What HiFi Award for best tuner between £501 and £1000 the STD777 has become the quality tuner market leader.

It receives a massive choice of stations – both traditional analogue and the new Digital Audio Broadcast stations (which gives huge choice, amazing sound quality and no noise), feature a useful array of sockets for PC, digital recorder and amplifier connection, audiophile enhancements such as an R-Core transformer and is beautifully constructed with an all metal case and a thick aluminium fascia.

This tuner has had very little use, maybe only 50 hours and is in mint condition. There are no marks or scratches anywhere on the unit. Note it still has the factory DAB sticker attached to the front panel. It also comes with a very useful digital out connection so a DAC can be used to gain even further audio performance. The tuner comes complete with its original box and packaging and is supplied with an aerial, a remote control and a manual.

Sound wise its certainly the best I have heard on DAB broadcasts, but on FM the sound is simply glorious…
